Work completed with Dabney Studio. This Residential front yard was designed to seclude the preexisting Virginia home from the street while using native plantings to enclose a secret garden. Field stone thresholds are connected with bluestone pathways. Specifically designed to utilize local materials in close collaboration with contractors and clients. Drawings include demolition plans, construction documents, planting schedules.

This residential firepit is set back into the earth’s slope to feel as though it has been there for generations. Large mortar gaps between the Virginia field stone highlight the hand placed nature of construction. The semicircle seating area is extended with a large grass terrace lined with blue stone trim and pavers. schedules.
